Valley Sounds is a live music duo based in Newcastle, NSW.
We’ve spent over 15 years playing together across weddings, private events, and corporate functions.

WE’RE KRISTEN AND JACOB.
A married couple who’ve been playing music together for over 15 years.
We know when to pull things back and when to hype things up. And yes, being married helps. We’re used to reading each other. We’ve spent a long time playing together, so everything feels easy and in sync on stage.
Vocals and keys (and sometimes guitar, if you’re lucky)
Kristen brings a strong musical foundation, with a background in classical piano and years of live performance. She moves easily between stripped-back ceremony pieces and more groove-driven sets later in the night.
She’s also across the details, from helping shape song choices to making sure everything feels right on the day. She’ll be your point person for any questions you need answered.

Vocals, guitar and rhythm
Jacob brings the energy. Guitar and stomp drive the sound, especially when people want to get their groove on.
He was previously the frontman of a five-piece wedding band, so he knows how to carry a dance floor and make things fun, but also knows when to strip things back.
